Wanting to use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer in your agency
but can't because of Netsmart's CMHC/MIS BUI? Having headaches
from people F5 refreshing, hitting backspace in the wrong place?
Hate having to setup group policies or push out registry settings to
keep your users from putting BUI in tabs where things can go wrong
fast?
Yep, we though so.
BUI Explorer is the solution to all these problems. With BUI
Explorer you have a separate application for your users to be able to
access BUI from. We've wrapped our own code around Internet
Explorer to create a environment where all the bad things that can
happen from going back and refreshing are blocked. Plus we've
created a tab friendly environment for BUI as well!
To help integrate BUI Explorer into your agency, we've provided 2
ways to run it. This first is the normal way of running a
program, just run it from the start menu. The second is for
everyone who has BUI links on their intranet. Just change your
BUI links from http:// to bui://. They will automatically be
opened in BUI Explorer. This functionality works in Firefox and
Opera as well as Internet Explorer therefore allowing your agency to
switch browsers without creating user confusion when using BUI.
THIS PROGRAM IS IN BETA! We are looking for BUI users to
download it, give it a try and send us your feedback and thoughts
about it.
