The Configuration window is your first stop on your
initial run of ScriptGate. This is the place where you setup your
connection details, text editor, and all of your CMHC/MIS System
Directories. NOTE: A server, port number, file editor, and at least one
CMHC/MIS System Directory are required to use ScriptGate.
Click on a area below to find out more about it's
function.

Default User
Name
This is where you put the default user id that you wish to use while connecting
to your system. This is changeable on the Login screen when you push the
Connect button on the Main Window.
Server
The is the name or IP address of the server you want to connect to.
Port
This is the port number of the FTP server on the system you specified in
Server. NOTE: The default port for FTP is 21. You shouldn't
have to change this.
Command Timeout
If your system is slower or you are on a slow link, you can change this timer to
keep ScriptGate from timing out on commands.
Passive
Transfers
This is a alternate method of doing FTP transfers if there is a Firewall between
you and your system.
FTP Keep Alive
With this enabled, ScriptGate will send a command every 30 seconds while
connected to keep the system from disconnecting you for being idle for more than
a few minutes. We recommend disabling this if you are on a dial-up
connection.
Refresh File
List After Upload
If you are on a slow link, unchecking this option will speed up your transfers
by not refreshing the remote files list when you do a upload.
File Editor
This is where you put the location and file name of the program you wish to use
for your text file editor. MainTree Systems recommends UltraEdit
from IDM Computer Solutions.
CMHC/MIS
System Directories
This is where you specify the paths on your system that contain your different
copies of CMHC/MIS. We support up to 255 system directories.
Ok Button
This saves your settings and returns you to the main program window.
Cancel Button
This aborts the changes you've made to your settings.
Help Button
Displays the help system that you are reading now.
